It is a deep relaxation technique that can be initiated even for beginners, and one can get a glimpse of what YOGA could be. Though it is a brief session, its effects are often profound and far fetching.

Bala

Acharya Bala, the Founder Director of Hatha Vidya Gurukulam, hails from Kerala, India. He began his journey on the path of Yoga from the Yoga-Vedanta Forest Academy, Sivananda Ashram in Himalayas – where he attained his basic training.

Seeking Truth, he travelled extensively across the vast expanse of Northern India and was fortunate enough to come across many eminent Masters who imparted the wisdom to attain the true essence of a Yogi’s journey. In 2006, he met his Guru who initiated him into the Naatha Tradition and under whose tutelage, he established Hatha Vidya Gurukulam in Kerala with an aim to impart Yoga to aspirants from all walks of life.

In 2009, under his Chairmanship, a residential Yoga Institute named Thapobhoomi was established by the banks of the River Gayathri at Kerala, India . Subsequently, its publication division started in 2010, which published ‘Hathavidya’ – a quarterly magazine in Malayalam language with exclusive content on Yoga and Tantra. To increase awareness of the science of Yoga and its affiliated training amongst schoolchildren – Acharya Bala has published books on Yoga training adopting scientific methodologies. These books have been published with a vision to cover the four stages of Yoga Practices, titled The Drops, Blossoms, In the Mould, Progress and Metamorphosis.

In December 2012, Acharya Bala established the first international venture of Hatha Vidya Gurukulam in Dubai. Since then, Hatha Vidya Yoga Centre Dubai is the focal point for all international collaborations extending across multiple locations in Europe, South East Asia, Americas and Australia.
